AEV Transfer Case Skid Plate 2015-2022 Chevy Colorado ZR1/ZR2

AEV’s Transfer Case Skid Plate is the backbone of the Colorado ZR2 Bison’s lightweight but incredibly strong, Hot Stamped Boron Steel Skid Plate Package. This skid plate can be used as a either a standalone component to protect the transfer case or combined with the ZR2 Bison’s Transmission and Fuel Tank Skid Plates for maximum underbody protection.

This Transfer Case Skid Plate is compatible with 2015+ Colorado Z71 and ZR2 (excludes crew cab models w/ 6.5’ bed). This skid plate does not require any additional skid plates for installation. E-coated for maximum corrosion resistance and is proudly made in the USA.

Hot Stamped Boron Steel (HSBS) is an ultra-high strength, press hardened steel and is most commonly used in automotive applications for passenger impact protection because it is lightweight with an extremely high yield strength (approximately 200,000 ksi vs. mild steel at 25,000 ksi). AEV chose this material for the Colorado ZR2 Bison’s skid plate package not just because of its high strength-to-weight ratio but also for its hardness and resistance to gouging.
